Law School Scholarship Funds for Students Interested in Real Property Law

The New York Bar Foundation is pleased to announce The Real Property Law Section Lorraine Power Tharp Scholarship.

One $1,500.00 scholarship will be awarded to a second- or third-year law student who best exemplifies the core values important to Lorraine Power Tharp–academic excellence, a demonstrated interest in public service, high integrity and, if possible, an interest in real property law. A preference will be given to a student who demonstrates financial need. The scholarship will be applied to the student’s 2010/2011 academic year tuition.

A completed application and supporting documentation as detailed in the guidelines must be submitted to The New York Bar Foundation no later than Thursday, September 30, 2010. The Real Property Law Section Lorraine Power Tharp Scholar will be announced by November 15, 2010. For more information, go here.
