The Legal Services Corporation Loan Repayment Assistance Program

The Legal Services Corporation (LSC) has announced that it is accepting applications under its Herbert S. Garten Loan Repayment Assistance Program (LSC LRAP). This program awards forgivable $5,600 loans to attorneys with up to five years of experience with a program to help them repay law school loans. Attorneys must have at least $50,000 in law school debt in order to apply.

The 2011 LSC LRAP loan payments are contingent on LSC's receiving funding for the program. At this time, final 2011 funding is pending.

Further information on the LSC LRAP, including the Program Description and the LSC LRAP Application form, is found at www.grants.lsc.gov by clicking on "LSC Loan Repayment Assistance Program".

The application deadline is March 25, 2011.
