Interested in a Career or Internship with a Public Defender?

A Public Defender's Office is a tax-payer (and often privately) funded office whose lawyers represent criminal defendants who cannot afford private counsel. A PD Office is a great place to learn about (as an internship) and practice (as a post-graduate job) criminal defense law. New York University School of Law has just come out with its updated Public Defender Handbook. Check it out if you are interested in this area of law.
