How are you using social media right now? If you're not using it to present yourself in a professional manner and/or network with potential employers, you'll want to attend our webcast entitled Using Social Media to Aid Your Job Search.
On Thursday, November 10, LexisNexis will host a panel of experts to show you how to use social media to create your own "social brand" in the legal profession, and how to use that brand to promote yourself to prospective employers. The panel includes:
• Tim Tyrell-Smith, a popular blogger and author on career strategy. Tim has written two career books entitled 30 Ideas and Headstrong. He is also a regular contributor to U.S. News and World Reports. He will speak about using social media to create a "social brand."
• Catherine Sanders Reach, the Director of the Legal Technology Resource Center at the American Bar Association (ABA). Catherine has presented to many law students on the use of social media and will explain how it applies to the legal profession.
• Daniel A. Schwartz, a partner at Pullman & Comley LLC and author of the Independent Connecticut Employment Law blog. Dan uses social media to grow his own legal career and will show you how he uses it so effectively.
As a bonus, the first 1,000 students to attend and complete the email survey at the end of the webcast will receive a complimentary membership to the ABA's Law Student Division.
Register for the November 10th webcast and start using social media to improve your chances of finding the job you're looking for. You'll also receive 200 LexisNexis Reward points for attending the webcast.
